Why?: People need to be aware of the meaning of the cat face. My hope is that they will adopt this awesome emote and use it when needed. Everywhere I go I see people who don't know what it is, and this makes me sad. People ask me what it means and I tell them, but they don't believe me. This site is proof that this emote is awesome. Spread the word! >:3

Are you sure that's a cat face? Looks like a(n) (insert wrong assumption here).: Yes, it's a cat face. One can clearly see that the ":" are the eyes and the "3" is the mouth. It makes :3. To make it an evil/naughty/angry cat face, one simply adds a ">" infront of the whole thing making >:3.

...But the mouth looks like balls. Are you sure that's a cat face?: Yes. I think the question you should ask yourself is, when the hell would you ever use a face with balls on it? The cat face can be used in everyday IMs, but having balls on your face really sucks and serves no purpose (Sorry Peter Griffin, I think your chin looks awesome). It only looks like balls because of font usually, so if you're seeing the cat face like that I suggest you switch to a better looking font. If that doesn't work, then maybe you're just a pervert who likes ballsacks.

If balls on your face doesn't have a purpose, what about the cat face?: You see, a cat face is a cat face (surprising, right?). However, having balls on your face doesn't do anything but imply that you like to get tea bagged. The cat face implies that you are a cat. So which will it be? Do you like getting tea bagged or being a cat?
